Information for the Return to school in January 2022
Thu 16 Dec 2021Dear Parent/Carer,
We have just received notification from the Welsh Government that there will be an additional two planning days given to schools at the beginning of next term, we already had one day planned for INSET.
This means that all pupils will return to school on THURSDAY 6th JANUARY 2022.
As this is a constantly changing situation, we will pass on information as we are given it and will send out definite details in January. Please share this information and if anyone is not receiving these emails, please ask them to contact admin@pontrhonddaprimary.rctcbc.cymru as a matter of urgency. this email address can also be used if you need to contact the school, for any reason, over the holidays.

Merry Christmas
Thu 09 Dec 2021We are fast approaching the end of term. FP and KS2 have filmed concerts which will be available to view next week. It's not the same, no waving at parents, no shouting 'Hi Mammy', no laughter from the audience or clapping in between songs - but we hope you enjoy nonetheless! With new cases of Covid within the school, it is important to try and keep ourselves safe. KS2 really enjoyed their trip to Fuze and I know FP will love meeting Santa in Brecon next week. Christmas jumper day is tomorrow and a link to Save The Children donations has been sent by text. We will have party day next Wednesday where the children can wear party clothes if they wish and school will supply food, drink and selection boxes. We are also very fortunate to have received presents that can be given to families who may need a little extra help. If you would like to receive any of these presents to help with your child's Christmas, please contact the school by Tuesday 14th December, all requests will remain anonymous.

Play it Again Sport

If you have any items at home that you would like to donate , please can they be brought into school.

Swimming Lessons Information (Dosbarth Melyn & Gwyrdd)
Fri 08 Oct 2021Dear Parent/Carer,
Swimming lessons will begin on the Friday 15th October.
Lessons are delivered by qualified swimming instructors at Ystrad Sports centre and pupils will be transported both ways on a bus promptly at 9am. Please ensure your child arrives on time before the bus departs.
Children will need to bring a towel, bathers/costume and goggles. (Bathers should be worn under uniform) Please can all clothing be labelled as this will help with mix ups.
As a little home task we are asking parents to help their child practice changing at home to help cut down the changing times when we arrive at the pool.Thanks for your support
