Our Chair of Governors, Stuart Ottery is running the London marathon on Sunday April 27th. He is rasing money for Carers UK, following a change in family circumstances and the support the charity gives. Stuart and his wife want to raise awareness of the 5 million unpaid carers in the UK, which include Stuart, Millie and Ava. Michelle was diagnosed with ME and fibromyalgia nearly 3 years ago, and its changed our lives - Michelle had to give up her job as a primary school teacher and now she doesn't drive, and the condition leaves her with chronic bouts of fatigue that can last for days, meaning she is unable to do the simplest of tasks without being absolutely wiped out.
Stuart says, "The girls have been unbelievable in the way they support not just their Mam, but have maintained their hard work with school, never question why Mam can't do things she once did, and both always have smiles on their faces - they are and will forever be my greatest achievement.
So, this is for them - my girls."
