Different masks to the ones you are used to seeing us wearing at the moment, to get you in the mood for our world book day celebrations tomorrow, can you work out who is behind the mask reading their favourite story?

  • Breakfast Club Applications for After Easter

    Thu 04 Mar 2021
If your child requires a place in the summer term breakfast club (12th April – 20th July) please complete an application form using the following link https://www.rctcbc.gov.uk/breakfastclubform.  The form will be available for completion from 7am, Friday 12th March to 5pm, Friday 19th March. The number of places due to Covid restrictions will be limited to ensure that social distancing and effective hygiene and preventative measures can be maintained. Places will be prioritised based on the time of application and you will be notified at the end of the application if you are successful or unsuccessful.  Unsuccessful applicants will be placed on a reserve list and non-attendance will result in places being reallocated. Please note that in light of the current legislation in relation to breakfast clubs, prioritisation cannot be given to specific groups (e.g. previously unsuccessful applicants, vulnerable groups or key workers) as this provision is intended to provide a healthy breakfast to all learners. As places are restricted, please only apply if your child requires access to a free, healthy breakfast before the start of the school day.

    Dear Parent,

We will be holding our St. David’s Day celebrations on Monday March 1st. Celebrations will be a little different this year, as we are not able to take in any home tasks. We will however be completing Welsh activities in classes at school or at home through Seesaw.

We would love to see the children in traditional Welsh costumes, Welsh sportswear or just wearing red on Monday, if at home, please upload photos.

We will also be celebrating World Book Day on Friday 5th February, please see letter from Mrs Dando below!

    Dear Parent/Carers,

As part of our drive to maintain, promote and engage pupil interest in reading, our school will be celebrating WORLD BOOK day on Friday March 5th 2021.

On this special day, your child can come to school dressed as his / her favourite story book character. It would be good to discuss with your child different characters from their favourite books. The dressing up possibilities are endless: Postman Pat, Oliver Twist, Fantastic Mr Fox, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, Danny- Champion of the World, Matilda, Goldilocks, Jack and the Beanstalk, The Twits, Cinderella, Gruffalo, Elmer the Elephant, Three little Pigs, Harry Potter, etc

During the day there will be lots of fun activities taking place within classes and through Seesaw for those at home.

Reading different books every evening, in preparation would be great! So, get thinking and reading! We look forward to seeing your child dressed up for this special day on Friday March 5th. If at home, don’t forget to upload photos on Seesaw.

    Thank you for your co-operation.

    Have fun!!

    Mrs Dando

Thank you for your continued support,
